Children's seating area removed to make way for massive books in library
Children in Oswestry's library are now being forced to read in toilets, on windowsills and shelves due to the library's decision to remove their seating area in favour of 4 huge super books, weighing in at 170kgs each. "The new books work out a lot cheaper than buying the equivalent weight in ordinary books", said librarian newcomer Randy Richards in response to accusations that the new books are a waste of money and the seating was a necessity. "Children love reading on platforms so the now empty shelves are perfect for them to squeeze into. On Saturday we had 2 kids on each shelf - it looked like a morgue for living children but it was lovely".
